Lockheed
Martin Signs Agreement with EESTOR for Energy Storage Solution
January 10th, 2008
Questions loomed for years over
whether or not EEstor is actually going to produce ceramic batteries
that have 10 times the energy density of lead-acid batteries.
Lockheed Martin is a major international military and defense
innovator. Their interest in EEstor gives irrefutable validity
to the ultra-secretive company (EEstor) that rarely gives out
information about its progress, and doesn’t even have
a working website.
If EEstor’s batteries
meet expectations, then it could revolutionize military energy
innovations. Imagine a Warfighter that had a solar panel that
provided enough renewable energy to power the vehicle indefinitely.
This would give the Warfighter the capability of circling the
earth much like a Satellite in space. Obviously, the applications
of this kind of energy storage are endless. This agreement between
Lockheed Martin and EEstor Inc. is a strong implication of what
is to come in the near future.
