Choosing a projector has proven to be a difficult task.  ProjectorComparison.net is hoping ease a little of the pain.  If you have any questions that are not answered on this site then please feel free to contact us directly.

Projector decisions vary greatly depending on the purpose of your purchase.  For educators (k-12) you will probably mostly be interested in pricing, because of the bidding nature of volume implementations.  My current pick for K-12 educators is the EPSON S3, but that's just me.  You can pick one of these up for under $750 at the ProComputing Corporation, and the look great.  EPSON also offers great support and warranties which is vital in education institutions.

For business, you may need to travel a lot, so size and weight might be of importance.  Be sure to visit our DLP vs. LCD page for some comparisons in size and weight.  You may also be wondering, "What's the difference in SVGA and XGA?"  Obviously, XGA cost more.  Is it worth the difference in price?

Also, PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THE COST OF REPLACEMENT LAMPS!!!  You will be purchasing one or two a year, and the prices on lamps vary greatly among manufacturers.  You can browse many lamp manufacturers at www.projectorlampzone.com.
